All kinds of wireless Internet access technology and mobile communication business emerge in endlessly, the fusion of a variety of wireless access technology has become the development trend of the next generation of wireless networks. Existing various wireless access systems in many areas are overlapping coverage, and formed the heterogeneous wireless network environment, so these can be overlapping of different types of wireless access system intelligently together, the use of multimode terminal intelligent access means, make the joint to provide users with a variety of different types of network of wireless access anywhere, anytime.3G and WLAN is the most common ways for people in daily life to contact wireless Internet access technology.3G services can simultaneously transmit voice and data information, its advantage is that its range is wide, the disadvantage is that it can not provide users with the high data rate.WLAN is a wireless LAN access technology, and has been widely used at present, its advantage is that data transfer rate is high and cost is low, the disadvantage is that coverage is small. The integration of3G and WLAN network will make the two complementary each have advantages and disadvantages of the network effectively, so as to provide users with better wireless Internet experience.With the development of the demand and technology of mobile communication market, the study of3G network and WLAN integration is becoming more and more popular, relevant research results are increasingly rich. Research on the integration of3G network and WLAN mainly includes the following three aspects:1) from the perspective of mobile terminals, research the realization of multi-mode mobile terminal;2) from the perspective of mobility management, studies the heterogeneous wireless network framework, and the vertical handover technology;3) from the perspective of service quality, research in the heterogeneous wireless network load balancing between the access point.The research content of this article is divided into two aspects. First, this paper proposes a handover mechanism based on the available data rate of3G and WLAN. At present, users in the process of using the wireless network, mainly care about data rate whcih the network will provide users, so compared with traditional receiving signal strength as the handover trigger index of handover mechanism, data rate will be available as an index of handover trigger handover mechanism is able to effectively use higher data rate and better network quality of service, to provide users with a better web experience. Then, this paper proposes a load balancing strategy based on the data distribution. During the integration process of3G network and WLAN, the load balancing technology is one of the key factors to guarantee QoS, this paper put forward based on the data of the distribution of load balancing strategy can realize the rational distribution of each wireless network access point load, thus effectively enhance the overall load capacity of the network.
