The precision of the integral blisk, which is one of the most important accuratecomponents, has a strong influence on the engine performances. A precisemeasurement is needed to confirm the manufacturing precision of integral blisks. Theplanning of the probing paths is the key point of measurement. In this work, anoptimized interference-free measuring path planning algorithm based on five-axisonline machines is proposed. The post processed NC code is obtained and confirmedwith computational simulations.A vertical five-axis online measuring system of table rotating/tilting type is appliedto improve the precision of interference-free measurements. And a trigger probe ischosen in this work. The measuring path planning is composed of the measuringregion separating, the measuring schedule programing, the probing posture planningand the determination of measuring parameters. Contents of this paper are presentedas following:1. Interferences are mostly likely to take place at the vertex points on the convexsurface and the nadir points on the concave surface. Thus the measuring points areseparated into four regions, including the upper convex region, the lower convexregion, the upper concave region and the lower concave region, by the vertex line ornadir line, respectively.2. The TSP problem among measuring points in each region is solved to obtain theoptimized measuring schedule. Compared with the zig-zag measuring schedule, Thetotal probing distance can be decreased by16.78%.3. The critical positions of interference between the probe and the blisk arecalculated to determinate the safe range for each measuring point. The probingpostures should be restricted in the safe range to avoid crashes.4. The measuring parameters are calculated. And the NC code is obtained usingCAM post processers and confirmed with computational simulations. As mentioned above, an interference-free measuring path is obtained in this paper. And the measuring path is optimized for the least distance to improve the measuring efficiency. At last, the path has been post processed into NC codes for practicalapplications.
