With the rapid development of modern science and technology, more and more people work and live close to the network. People have become increasingly high demanding on the network. Unification of Cable television network、Telecommunication network and Computer network into an integrated business network (triple-play) become an irresistible trend. Existing Internet services is difficult to provide quality assurance for the future application of the data stream with different service quality. Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology (DWDM) offers high-speed communications conditions for triple play. In this context, Sichuan Network Communication Technology Key Laboratory proposed single physical layer user data switching platform architecture.For the next generation of Internet network architecture requires streamlined and efficient features., in consideration of the out-of-band signaling concept, SUPA put the network architecture is separated into two parts, User-data switching platform (U-platform) and Signaling&Management platform(S&M-platform). User data transmission and switch platform were simplified into a single physical layer structure by Ethernet-oriented Physical Frame Time-slot Switching (EPFTS) technology. Above is the research background of this thesis.This thesis summarizes the basic content SUPA architecture and research achievements, as well as to implement CFM technology SUPANET significance.Secondly, this article describes the development status, basic techniques and implementation of CFM technology in existing network. In order to improve the efficiency of network maintenance management, the existing network (Ethernet, ATM and MPLS, etc.) have increased in the OAM mechanism.Continuity Fault Management is the foundation of the OAM mechanism parts, respectively, this thesis has a detailed introduction and analysis of the existing CFM technical characteristics and implementation principle.Thirdly, in the case of State-of-the-art of SUPA OAM Mechanism, the author analyses motivation and needs to use CFM technology in SUPA network systematically. This thesis combines the existing CFM technology standards(ITU-TY.1730, ITU-T Y.1731, IEEE802.3ah, IEEE802.lag, etc) and extended part of the Fault Management Technology in SUPA network. The author also extends the CC(Continuity Check),RL(Remote Loopback), LT(Link traces) AIS(Alarm Indication Signal), RDI(Remote Defect Indication) and other CFM tools and methods suitable for SUPA network. The author designs the corresponding frame format and implementation mechanism at the end.At the end of this thesis, the author defines the function of CFM mechanisms and analysis the CFM mechanism in SUPA network. The author also designed CFM frame format and model the CFM mechanism. Simulations in OPNET software show that CFM fault management works well.
