Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an advanced type of AutomaticIdentification and Data Capture (AIDC). The utmost advantage of RFID isnon-contact data-reading, the initial data entering into the system with automatic dataacquisition and identification, which avoids a series of shortcomings from manualdata input, such as low speed, low correct rate, high labor intensity, simple work withhigh repeatability, etc. RFID is an efficient way to make data acquisition and inputwith both high speed and accuracy.Confidential file, as a significant part of government administration, has beenrelying on manual operation for a long time. Monitoring and tracing work ofconfidential files becomes a bottleneck that limits the work efficiency of the party andgovernment offices. Though electronic document management system has beenapplied, it still can neither achieve the synchronous management of the entitydocuments and electronic documents, nor provide a real-time positioning of theelectronic documents. When a confidential file is lost or reporting a file error, theborrowers and the administrators sometimes may not find the file.Based on the tracing system of confidential files, this thesis combines the RFIDwith electronic document management system, to achieve the real-time supervisory ofconfidential files and to give an alarm to the irregular condition that resulted fromhuman negligence. This system, based on the C/S model(the Client/Server model),includes two parts: the hardware and software. This thesis, firstly analyzes the background and research significance of thetracing system of RFID for the confidential files, systematically describes the theoryand application of RFID, and points out the advantages of RFID by analyzing themanagement and supervisory of confidential files at the present. Moreover, this thesisanalyzes the demands of RFID tracing system for confidential files, and describes thepossibility and design of daughter systems for searching, borrowing and alarming indetails.
