With the development of information technology, especially the rapiddevelopment of Internet technology, academic communities attract scientificresearchers of the same interest and research background to gather together. Scientificresearchers communicating through the network platform becomes an important modeof academic exchanging, sharing of knowledge and knowledge collaboration. Up tonow, however the ways for users participating academic communities are singleness, knowledge in academic communities is integrated linearly and it·s transferred delayedand in one-way, academic communities are centered on some certain Web sites, andonly few core persons can publish knowledge. Combined with the National NaturalScience Fund Project "Research on theories of slow· and quick· combinedknowledge extensible optimization and sharing in knowledge supernetworkenvironment"(project NO.:71071144) and Zhejiang Province Natural Science FundProject "Research on extension adaptive knowledge service for complex productdesign"(project NO.: Z6110334), this paper puts forward to building a Web2.0integrated academic community to overcome these shortages in current academiccommunities. The followings are the mainly work of this paper:(1) Combined with the concepts and technologies of Web2.0, this paper expoundsthe constitute and characteristics of the academic communities based on Web2.0, andestablishes the architecture of the academic communities based on Web2.0.(2) Using the extension theory to establish knowledge basic element to clarify therelationships among scientific researchers, knowledge and events in the academiccommunities based on Web2.0, this paper makes the knowledge timely transmitted andscientific researchers can collaborate in multiple paths. And the knowledge basic elementhelps to organize the huge knowledge in the academic communities based on Web2.0.(3) Combined with the related concepts and theories of network, this paperpresents a dynamic combination and scheduling of knowledge method. This methodwill support scientific researchers for effective knowledge interactive andcollaborating and dynamicly compose and schedule their personal knowledge, knowledge of friends, group and team due to intellectual activities.(4) Above all, we have developed the system of academic communities based onWeb2.0. We use the model of knowledge basic element and the dynamic combinationand scheduling of knowledge method to sort and store the knowledge, share andutilize the knowledge, mark the knowledge optionally. And the system supportsscientific researchers for exchanging and collaborating with various kinds ofknowledge in multiple paths. The proposed academic communities based on Web2.0, which combines coreprinciples, technical architecture and service mode in Web2.0, will help users toparticipate academic communities better and promote knowledge exchanging, sharingand innovation, the communities will also promote the knowledge innovation, scientific and technological progress.
