Since its invention more than a decade ago, computational verb theory has shown powerful abilities in the aspects of applying to real-life applications and solving social and economic problems. It has been widely used in many fields such as automatic control, artificial intelligence, cellular networks and economics. Some typical applications are verb PID control, image detection, video surveillance, intelligent transportation systems and financial engineering.When the high-definition video camera becomes more and more popular, in many video surveillance applications, we can get a huge amount of high-resolution image and video data containing too much information to be comprehended by humans, therefore, how to make machines recognize the data through the processing and obtain the information concluding correctly and effectively is a crucial problem. The computational verb theory realize the calculability of verb center and the adverb servers in the natural language, and let the physical meaning of the natural language applied in the computer system, has advantages in image processing and understanding so as to make good effect in the engineering practice. This paper mainly studies as follows:1. It comes up with an algorithm for recognizing the ID bar code based on computational verb theory image processing. This algorithm analyses the composition features of the bar code, and create the special template verbs to realize a way to locate it in region. In the part of decoding, it realizes the function with the calculation of computational verb similarity by designing the standard verbs combine with the coding rule of bar code. With the test and analysis on the pictures in the actual condition, the algorithm makes the robust effect to adapt many different conditions even has no special request to the pictures.2. It comes up with an algorithm for automatic license plate recognition based on edge features and color information. The algorithm points in the standard and features of the plate in China to get the possible plate region by detecting the edge feature and the morphology operation, then extract the background color of the license plate region by clustering analysis, accomplish the selection and location through the composite computational verb similarity, and finally analyses the effect of location algorithm tested in different pictures to make the algorithm have satisfied effect and function in the videos from practical cameras.
