The photoelectric encoder is an advanced angular displacement sensor, which has theadvantage of small size, higher precision, strong anti-jamming and so on; and it iswidely used in the auto-measuring equipment in the national defense, industry, andscience.The precision of the photoelectric encoder is one of the important technicalspecification, and the measuring precision of the encoder should be steady both inthe high and low temperature in the different applied situation. The existingprecision test device of the minitype photoelectric encoder can finish the precisiontest just in the normal temperature. Therefore, the research of precision test systemof the minitype photoelectric encoder in different temperature is very important andutility value.Based on lots of the reference, the principle and test method of the minitypephotoelectric encoder are studied. Summarizing the advantage and shortage of theexisting research achievement, the precision test method of the minitypephotoelectric encoder in different temperature is proposed.The adiabatic rotary shaft and the data acquisition and processing system aredesigned, and the automatics test system of the minitype photoelectric encoder indifferent temperature is established, which realizes the precision test of the minitypephotoelectric encoder in different temperature. The data acquisition and processing program is designed in C language to achievethe data process of precision of the minitype photoelectric encoder in differenttemperature, and the data are uploaded to upper computer to display, store andanalyse in real time.For an15-bits minitype photoelectric encoder, the test experiment is carried outin the method in this paper, and the precision of encoder in different temperature isσ=30.71″in+25℃, σ=32.32″in-40℃, and σ=37.38″in+55℃The experimentresults show that the precision test system of the minitype photoelectric encoder hasthe advantage of small size and convenience, and realizes precision test in normaltemperature, high and low temperature.
