Fingerprint Recognition Research And Application In Public Security Fingerprint Information System

With the rapid development of computer and network, people have a higher requirement for the safety, practicality and accuracy about identity verification. The biometric authentication technology is also working towards the more intelligent direction. In various biometric technologies, fingerprint recognition technology is currently the oldest and most widely used biometric technology. Fingerprint recognition technology with fingerprint universality, uniqueness, and permanent biological characteristics, has gradually replaced the traditional recognition means of numbers and identities in the current network, and it has been widely used in the banking, financial, medical and security industries.This paper first studied the minutiae-based fingerprint recognition technology, including fingerprint image pretreatment, fingerprint feature extraction, fingerprint matching algorithm. However, such method has its shortcomings, which considers all the minutiae as the same condiuons, but in fact these fingerprint minutiae matching degree is different weights, so that all the minutiae treated equally will easily make wrong-recognition in the process of matching, and simply minutia representation ignores a large number of texture information about fingerprint ridge.Improve tradition-based fingerprint recognition technology for its lack, and then integrate the improvement algorithm with Gabor filtering technology. This algorithm uses filters to extract local and global characteristics as an orderly Gabor feature coding.
