In recent years, the urban transport has been gradually tending to be intelligent. As an key technology of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), the video target detection and tracking technology becomes a research hotspot for many experts. This thesis focuses on the research of vehicle behavior detection system that based on the technology of video image processing.First, by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of motion target detection and tracking algorithm based on existing research, the thesis proposes an adaptive moving vehicle detection based on background difference, and an vehicle tracking algorithm based on multi-regional characteristics matching. Then, realize the detection and tracking algorithm by using DSP development board combined with the CCS software development platform. Last, according to the vehicle running track based on vehicle tracking, some kinds of vehicle behavior can be detected, such as converse running, over speed or low speed and illegal lane changing, and what’s more, the violations can be captured by video camera with the help of hardware platform for providing an effective basis for the traffic violation penalties. |
