| IR lens has been required to adapt to external environments as its application field increasingly grows. The influence of temperature to the IR optical system is of great importance than any other factor to visible optical system. The focal length of IR lens changes a lot so that the image can’t perform well when it works out of the range of operating temperature. As a result, designing an athermal lens should be essential to take temperature factor into account.In this pater, we designed two lens in two temperature adaption ways, whose focal length was25mm, F#1.2by different ways after summarizing the development of design and testing method for temperature adaption IR lens. Both the two lenses were compatible with uncooled focal plane array which has a format of384×288and the pixel pitch of25μm. It can adapt a temperature range of-40℃-+80℃, then we tested them and made a comparison between the two lens. At the same time, the characteristic of DOE has been analyzed, and the performance of DOE has been concluded. We have also summarized the ways of manufacturing a DOE element. Furthermore, the difference between how to design an IR lens and a normal lens has been discussed. Parameters of IR materials have been showed including the chalcogenide glass. The work above can be a good foundation to the design work. |
