Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is consists of many low-cost and micro sensor nodes which are deployed in monitoring area.These nodes form the multi-hop self-organization network by wireless communication. WSN combines the computer technology, wireless communication technology and sensor technology together.And it is broadly used in many civilian application areas, including military field, environment monitoring, home automation. Nowadays WSN is one of the most popular research directions.Sensor node is the basic element of WSN, normally the nodes are low-cast, and can be deployed in various environments. But low cost means that sensor nodes have the low calculating capability, limited memory capacity and the restricted power supply. Therefore, how to find a reasonable way to control these nodes and resource allocation become one of necessary research directions in the WSN research field.According to the characteristics of the WSN node and the necessity of the node control system in the actual application, we will design and implement a WSN node control system which is based on the TinyOS. The system can provide a reasonable method to control the application of the nodes and achieve the purpose of optimizing the allocation of resources. First of all, with the existing WSN operating system which based on the contrast and analysis, we can get that the development of WSN node control system based on the TinyOS is feasibility. Then we divide the system into two parts:static part and dynamic part. The static part is application options, we use abstract model as a knapsack problem to resolve the problem. We find a way to achieve the system based on the genetic algorithm, and the system can assign the memory resources more reasonably. The dynamic part is the WSN node running control system, with controlling the commands and the applications, the system can save the electricity energy. Finally, we will test the completed WSN node control system and get the testing results which indicate that the application options can use the resources of the WSN node effectively, the WSN node running control system can control the commands and applications, the whole system can meet the requirement of the WSN node control system.
