Vanadate luminescent materials have been attracting more and more attentions for its good luminescence properties and the stability. In this study, Zn2V2O7, M2V2O7(M=Ba, Sr, Ca) and LiAlW2O8with good luminescence properties were prepared by high temperature solid state method. The regularity was studied between the doping content of Sr and the luminescent intensity of Ba2(1-X)Sr2xV2O7(x=0~15%).1. The self-activated yellow-emitting Zn2V2O7was prepared by high temperature solid state method with its luminescence properties studied. The phosphor Zn2V2O7exhibits bright broad-band yellow emission at340nm NUV light excitation. The broad band excitation spectrum from220to400nm implies that it is suitable for application in white LED. Zn2V2O7shows CIE chromaticity coordinates with x=0.276and y=0.499. All the results indicate that the phosphor is a promising yellow phosphor pumped by NUV InGaN chip for fabricating WLED.2. The self-activated M2V2O7(M=Ba, Sr, Ca) were prepared by high temperature solid state method with its luminescence properties studied. With the increase of M radius, luminescence intensity of the vanadate whose cations belong to the same main group increases. In addition, the peak moves to the direction of short waves. As the result, a idea was proposed that phosphors were prepared by doping Sr into Ba2V2O7to increase the fluorescence intensity and broaden the emission peak. However, the result wasn’t implemented. The phosphor Ba2(1-X)Sr2xV2O7(x=0%~15%) were prepared by high temperature solid state method. With the increase of the doping content of Sr, the fluorescence intensity of Ba2(1-X)Sr2xV2O7decreased and few differences can be found in emission peaks between Ba2(1-X)Sr2xV2O7and Ba2V2O7. It can be found that Sr doped in Ba2V2O7as a kind of impurities instead of producing Sr2V2O7. Because of the doping, the concentration of Ba decreases which makes luminescent intensity decreased. 3. After the preparation of vanadate luminescent materials, the tungstate material LiAlW2O8was prepared by high temperature solid state method with its luminescence properties studied. The phosphor LiAlW2O8exhibits bright broad-band blue-green emission at280nm NUV light excitation. The broad band excitation spectrum from220~320nm. LiAlW2O8shows CIE chromaticity coordinates with x=0.212and y=0.347.
