The phosphors for PDP are similar to the phosphors for lamps, but the former environment is very different from the latter, which needs that the phosphors for PDP should have better performance under VUV condition.This article mainly studied preparation technology of synthesizing BAM blue phosphor with high temperature solid-phase method. The raw material, flux, doped ions, baking technology in high temperature, reducing technology in high temperature and after-disposing technology were optimized.The experiments showed that, alumina is the main material whose morphology, granularity and activity in high temperature are the important factors influence the performance of BAM blue phosphor.; In preparing BAM blue phosphor, adding proper flux can prompt the reaction; There is a content scope for doped ions.We analyzed the relation between the comparative brightness ,granularity of BAM blue phosphor and synthesizing temperature and time., and the experiments results showed that the crystal will become better with synthesizing temperature and time increasing, so the comparative brightness will improve, but the excess high temperature and long time will result the bigger granularity and more difficult to dispose.We optimized the after-disposing technology and found an effect ball-grinding way to make the granularity of BAM blue phosphor decline under the condition of keeping the high comparative brightness. We eliminated the impurity which influences lighting by powder-washing, so the comparative brightness f BAM blue phosphor can be improved.The luminescence performance of BAM blue phosphor prepared by this paper was measured. The results showed that the comparative brightness has exceeded that of abroad BAM blue phosphor sample and the granularity is from 2 μm to 4μm which has a good decentralization.
