| With the constant acquisition and recombination of special-steel enterprises, along with the scale expansion of the enterprises, the information transmitted within the enterprise network has expanded from the data traffic to the coexistence of audio, video and data traffic. It is necessary for the production bases in different regions to transmit information, make voice calls, hold video conferences etc. With the number and variety of businesses increase, it has become a more conspicuous phenomenon that different users are contending for the bandwidth for their different businesses. As a result, the network often witnesses congestion or delay. Therefore, it has become a focus for the enterprise network management to ensure a stable transmission of the important data in the network. Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) embodies the features of Layer2switch and Layer3route, integrating the two in a perfect manner. It transmits the information in a simple way and satisfies the various service demands of different data businesses in the course of transmission.This paper focuses on the study of MPLS technology and QoS. In light of the practical needs of special-steel enterprises, it discusses the Quality of Service (QoS). Specifically, it introduces the design and realization of enterprise network on the basis of MPLS and comes up with QoS guarantee for the special-steel enterprises. As the enterprise network not only includes data traffic, but also other important data like audio and video, which have different requirements for bandwidth, delay and realtime performance. In order to support the audio, video and data traffic with different demands, it is required that the enterprise network is able to differentiate the communication of various users so as to ensure the corresponding quality of service. Hence, service quality control technology is adopted, including the transmission scheduling and group discarding etc. Finally, local analysis test is carried out in terms of the major designing indicators of QoS, the result of which shows that in steel enterprises, QoS on the basis of MPLS network can achieve a sound effect. |
