The rapid development of the market economy has brought replacement of electronic products, with the rapidly growing number of electronic appliances, the influx of foreign e-waste, while the number of domestic e-waste is also increasing, if those are not dealt with timely and reasonably, they will caused great harm to the environment and human health. On the other hand, e-waste recycling has considerable economic value and environmental value, so e-waste recycling has become a worldwide issue, but China’s current management of e-waste recycling is still in the relatively early stage, there is no sound recycling logistics system, the recycling and re-use of e-waste are also inadequate, resulting in a waste of resources and environmental pollution.To solve the above problems, this paper starts from the basic theoretical research of recycling economy and PDM (Product Data Management) technology, and then presents a solution after intense research on the e-waste recycling logistics system. In this paper, the applications of PDM in the field of product design is the inspired thoughts, PDM is introduced into the field of product recalls due to its advantage in product data management, based on which this research give a intense research on e-waste recycling logistics system management mode, system requirements, system design and other aspects, then gives out solutions. Firstly, this paper analyzes and summarizes the current situation of e-waste recycling logistics management, then based on the existing problems and the analysis of system requirements, this paper gives a detailed analysis on the overall and detailed requirements of PDM-based e-waste recycling logistics system, laying the foundation for the design of system architecture and the business data modeling. Finally, according to the basic theories and methods of system design and using PDM technology as a guiding principle, this paper proposes a solution for PDM-based e-waste recycling logistics system, which includes recycling, sorting, treatment and disposal, remanufacturing and re-sales of e-waste recycling logistics system and also examine the data processing algorithms of the key sections.
