With the rapid spread and explosive growth of the Internet, the draw-backs of traditional network architecture appear gradually. Current Internet is difficult to adapt the network resources dynamically, that leads to low network transmission effi-ciency, and a rigid network service mode. In the same way, it’s hard to achieve an effi-cient usage of the network resources and a convenient network service, which means highlighted power problems. To effectively solve these problems, realize the dynamical network resources’ adaption, it appears pretty important to collect network status infor-mation and to monitor the network performance.This thesis is a part of the national973project "Smart and Cooperation Network Architecture Research", research on network status information collection and network performance monitoring. It has great benefit and significance for the Smart and Cooper-ation Network research. This thesis use the OSPF protocol to collect and transmit the information, carry out the dynamic sensing of network nodes and link states. This re-search focuses on the mechanism of information transmission and storage.Firstly, this thesis analyzes a variety of drawbacks of current Internet architecture, points out the necessity of the redesign of network architecture, introduces how the Smart and Cooperation Network architecture solves current network problems. Then, this thesis makes a compare of several schemes to collect network information, and fi-nally chooses the OSPF protocol. Following, this thesis elaborates the network infor-mation collecting based on the OSPF protocol, divides the system design into3modules to accomplish information collecting, transmitting and storing, makes a more detailed design for network information transmitting. Finally, a testing environment is set up for the function testing.The scheme in this thesis successfully realizes collecting and transmitting of net-work information, lays a foundation for dynamic adaptation of network resources under the Smart and Cooperation Network architecture.
