Nowadays, cardiovascular disease has been an important threat to human health. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is important to such disease prevention, detection and diagnoses. It is simple, efficient, reliable and noninvasive for patients. With the rapid development of information technology, ECG testing equipment has been more portable and small. Portable ECG monitoring equipment is an important complement device for treatment of heart disease in hospitals.This paper studied the main disturbance in the process of bioelectricity collection, and designed a kind of flexible portable ECG monitoring equipment. The system includes ECG signal collection amplification, filtering. A/D conversion and data transmission. PDA display, and some other hardware and software modules. High common mode rejection ratio instrumentation amplifier INA128is used to condition ECG signals, and24bits Δ-∑type ADC, ADS1258,is used to sample ECG in high precision. We used MSP430F449microcontroller to get the sampled data, and transmit the data to PDA through USB6008OEM.Based on Labview, PDA programming, and real-time display of ECG signal in PDA are carried out.The whole system’s power is supplied from the PDA battery, realizing the function of portability and flexibility. It is believed that the paper lays the foundation of further development of such as remote ECG monitoring and ECG database.
