The High-Frequency communication (HF) is always the hot topic of research on remote communication. As a long-term remote communication, HF communication must have further development to meet the new requirements of communication. The technology of our HF communication is relatively backward, most of the communication system still use the backward networking, and hardly adapt to the future communications.Adaptive technology will fully use the HF channel resources and make the communication more reliable and more flexible, it can greatly improve the automatic degree of HF communication. A significant subject for research is how to establish a HF communication system with anti-jamming automation. This thesis aims at researching the protocol of distributed HF private network. From the channel characteristics of HF transmission, we analyze the problems which may encounter in the process of networking and communication. Based on the protocol of third generation HF communication(MIL-STD-188-141B,3G-HF) and combined with the actual situation of project, we design the detailed protocol for the data link layer and the network layer. Then we build a small network to simulate and analyze the result. This thesis is organized as follows:Chapter one gives a brief overview of the characteristic and development of HF communication and the research of HF networking, followed by the main objective of this thesis.Chapter two presents the3G-HF communication protocol, Firstly introduces its architecture and technical characteristics, then describes the protocol of the data link layer and the network layer.Chapter three presents the detailed protocol of the data link layer, describes the period from the moment of node received the command to business transmission completed, including automatic link establishment protocol, traffic management protocol and data transmission protocol.Chapter four presents the detailed protocol of the network layer, addresses the process of network establishment, network maintenance, network optimization and routing.Chapter five briefly introduces the network simulation software-NS2, and describes the implementation process of several important modules. At last, we build a simulation platform to simulate and analyze the protocol we designed.
