In the modern enterprise architecture, information systems have become increasingly important, a large number of enterprise data and business applications require enterprise information systems to handle and support. With the rapid growth of their business, enterprise information system faces enormous challenges. How to improve the company’s IT efficiency, ensure information security, while reducing overall IT operation and maintenance costs is becoming increasingly apparent. The virtualization technology is one good way to solve these problems.This virtualization technology will separate hardware resources and operating system, therefore, the enterprise IT resource utilization and flexibility has been improved. In this paper, I propose solutions to build enterprise information systems through virtualization technology, thus centralize the management and allocation of enterprise IT resource.Based on small and medium enterprises’ needs for IT services, this article details the three popular virtualization technology solutions. By comparing and analyzing, we use Citrix’s virtualization technology to designed enterprise IT system virtualization solutions. They are including data center server virtualization solutions, desktop virtualization solution, application virtualization solutions and storage system solutions. Finally, we achieved virtualization platform with a small volume of actual users, and we completed functional testing and performance testing.
