Cardiovascular disease has always been threat to human life and health. Electrocardiogram is an important basis for the diagnosis of various heart diseases. The paper designed and implemented a hardware and software platform for remote ECG monitoring capability;The designed ECG platform includes ECG acquisition terminal and ECG monitoring center,that,through the terminal real-time ECG data can be collected,stored and transmitted to the ECG monitoring center server by wireless network and finally calls algorithms and software for electrocardiogram automatic analysis and waveform detection to achieve the ECG data analysis and classification identification of arrhythmic heart beat.The ECG acquisition terminal primarily designed circuit module to collect ECG, transplanted Linux embedded system to the ARM11microprocessor hardware platform, completed the development of the ECG detection application software in Qtopia embedded graphics application environments to achieve the ECG signal acquisition, display and storage capabilities. In addition, data transmission to terminal care center through wireless is realized by socket network programming. The terminal used the wireless transmission module, WIFI to connected to the wireless network and the monitoring center computer, and finally conducted TCP/IP protocol file transfer.ECG monitoring center developed ECG analysis software,mainly specialized in effective algorithm based on mathematical morphology and support vector machine for ECG detection and arrhythmia identification. The algorithm was mainly on the basis of mathematical morphology, combined with ECG own characteristics to propose a sequential screening method for maximum value to extract the R-peaks;and finally classified beat types by selecting Radial Basis Function for Support Vector Machine. The results of the simulation experiment on the MIT-BIH database files in MATLAB environment indicated that this algorithm acquired high relevance ratio at99.36%and recognition rate (99.75%),useful for electrocardiogram detection with heart rate variability and different types of heart beats.Mixed programming of MATLAB and C++was conducted by MATCOM. Under VC++,A portable and released software package for automatic ECG analysis successfully designed and developed. The package embedded ECG detection and classification algorithm implemented by MATLAB and can be used for manual and computer-aided diagnosis of a large number of ECG data.
