The users can run thissystem easily only by key in some simple Chinese characters, numbers and symbols.This system is a typical information management system and This project alsointroduced the key technology that be used to raise the working efficiency of this systeminthe system design. Sever side technology, Struts Framework, Spring Framework andJDBC code used in the development of the system makes the minimize requirementfor the hardware in the dormitory management System, only a low profile PC installed abrowser can be used normally, it helps to minimize the cost of the purchase foruniversity administration department. This system use the Oracle database, becauseOracle database is very popular in universities, and the structural of the Oracle databasecan help reduce the resource consumption, enhance processing capabilities. And thereis three different administration levels for the administrators to achieve some differentfunctions such as dormitory assign, student information management, dorm informationmanagement, institute supervision, the dorm hygienism appraisal etc. Systemdesigned these functions to improve the efficiency of college dorm Management:authenticate users and permissions, the basic situation of registered student accommodation, each semesterregistration, and the processing of students’leaving,query capabilities, users achieve basic information on student inquiry (can beachieved by a variety of conditions in a query), the system should provide increasedfunctionality such as to delete or add a user, and the system also should have thefunction of add, modify, delete students’ basic information, reportingcapabilities,provide some of the daily output and reports print, This system is based onB/S schema, has a friendly operation interface and easy Information maintenance.
