Abstract/Summary:
LTE is one of the very important wireless communication standards. The orthogonalfrequency division multiplexing technology is used in the downlink of LTE, timing andfrequency offset greatly affects the performance of OFDM, so, the demand of thesynchronous property for the OFDM technology is very high, OFDM synchronizationperformance directly affects the performance of the whole system of LTE. So, in order tomake LTE can be more widely used in a variety of wireless channel environment, reduce theinfluence made by the synchronization error of LTE system, this paper will study thesynchronization technology in the downlink of LTE.First, we briefly narrate the development background and requirement of LTE system,and discuss the key technologies in LTE, including the basic principle of OFDM technologyand multiple antenna technology in the application of LTE.Second, we analyze the synchronization technology in LTE system in theory, includingthe method using the PSS, the synchronization algorithm based on cyclic prefix, thesynchronization algorithm based on training sequence. During the process of the researching,we analyze the disadvantage of the existing algorithms, based on which, a newsynchronization algorithm using the chu sequence is proposed, and we apply the algorithminto the LTE system with multiple antenna. We study the new algorithm in theory and explainthe feasibility and advantages of the new algorithm.Then, we simulate the synchronization methods we study in this paper, including themethod using the PSS, the ML, MC, MMSE synchronization algorithm in the synchronizationalgorithm based on cyclic prefix, the SC algorithm, Minn algorithm, Park synchronizationalgorithm and the method based on FH sequences, the synchronization algorithm based onenergy difference, Moose frequency synchronization algorithm in the synchronizationalgorithm based on training sequence, and the proposed method in the paper that thesynchronization algorithm using in LTE system with multiple antenna using the fineorthogonality of the chu sequence.Finally, through the simulation results, we can see the performance of each algorithmand their application limitation. At the same time, through the simulation comparison of the proposed method and the existing synchronization algorithm, it can be seen that the proposedalgorithm eliminates the timing inaccuracy problem in SC algorithm and improve thesynchronization performance of the system.
