Due to the depletion of resources, people will look toward to the ocean which we do notknow much about, and try to exploit marine resources, but in this process large amounts ofdata will be generated, such as surface ship navigation data, meteorological data, underseatopography data, etc. Some of generated data is instantaneous, and that do not need to bestored, while others need to save for a while, Some data even need to be stored for a longtime. This requires a reliable data collection system for storage and data playback functions, torecord and store data easily and efficiently for future processing. In order to develop a underwater data recorder which support low power consumption, small size, high-capacity data recording and random playback of recorded data, the thesis isbased on some data recorder technologys which are already mutual very much, refer to theexperience of correlative techniques of real-time signal acquisition, mass data storagemanagement and data playback, this thesis proposed a new proposal. TMS320VC5509A isused as core of the control system, TF card(also known as Micro SDHC card) is used as thememory medium, the communication between TMS320VC5509A and TF card follows SD2.0criterion, the problem of the stability and reliability of the data recorder in the harshenvironment can be solved by the Embedded technology. TF card is used as the storagemedium to achieve real-time recording of data quickly, this technology is also able to achieverandom read-write data of storage data, and we also realize efficient management of flashmemory cards record data by transplanting and improving the FAT32file system which iswidespread used in computer system currently.Besides, this thesis solves the problem of playbacking the data stored in the card by usingUSB port technology. Meanwhile the use of USB2.0communication protocol which is maturein the current market, sufficiently assure reliable data transmission between the instruments ofdata recorder and computer. Finally, this design use a variety of simulation and analysis software, work with thespecific program to verify the feasibility of the overall system, the verification results showthat the design can achieve the technical indicators, the entire system performance well andmeet the design requirements.
