Wireless sensor node’s energy is limited, and the working environment is often verybad, equipped with high-capacity battery to improve node energy is not feasible underthe current scientific and technological conditions. Therefore, the energy problem is oneof the bottlenecks obstructing the rapid development of wireless sensor networks, inlimited energy conditions improve ene rgy utilization and thus extend the networklifetime is an important issue in the wireless sensor networks research. The process ofdata collection in wireless sensor networks, the because some node’s load is too large, and often cause local energy consumption is not balanced, which appear energy holenetwork life ended prematurely. In the death of the network, there are a large number ofnodes residual energy is large, resulting in the entire network is energy inefficient, sohow to avoid the emergence of the "energy hole" phenomenon to improve the networkenergy utilization has a very important significance. This paper main research object is "energy hole" phenomenon, respectively researchthe variable number of base station of wireless sensor networks and hierarchical topologyof wireless sensor networks, because "energy hole" can not be avoided, so put forwardtwo energy hole mitigation strategies, change the number of base stations strategies andEHAR_AC algorithm of mitigation the energy hole to delay the energy hole generated, toextend the network lifetime.Firstly, describes the essential feature of the WSN and the "energy hole"phenomenon. Introduce domestic and foreign research status of wireless sensor networksenergy hole problem.Give the strategy of variable number of base stations to avoid theenergy hole, and changes the number of base stations and network load simulation resultsshow that the increase in the base station can alleviate the energy hole phenomenon, butto consider the increased costs of base station; EHAR_AC algorithm of mitigate theenergy hole phenomenon, consider multiple influencing factors, and algorithmsimulation results show that the algorithm can effectively balance network load, ease the "energy hole" phenomenon.
