Lidar is a product of laser and radar, which has high-resolution and better ability of anti-jamming. Lidar has been widely used into ranging based on these advantages above. According to the high-speed processing requirements of the ranging and image processing, FPGA is widely used because of its advantages of parallel data processing and flexible work.It comprehensively discusses the theory of lidar ranging in this paper,and it based on the lidar ranging methods today, It conducts the research of the laser radar circuit part of ranging system deeply.This paper describes a parallel lidar ranging system based on FPGA. It is used to measure the phase difference of the internal beam and the reflected beam by FM phase measuring method.The difference frequency signal from AD converter incoming FPGA chip.Then FPGA use the parallel processing to control multi-DSP data processing,in order to realize the fast data processing. Besides,the FIFO module can help to realize the clock consistency of multi-processing chip,so that it improves the measurement accuracy. Then the MODELSIM software simulates the system,and verify the correctness of the system design. Draw the PCB board,and complete the system design.Finally, after the experiment, the measurement error is about±0.4mm in the distance of20m.The result meets the test requirements,and complete the parallel lidar ranging system based on FPGA.
