It is great potential that high-speed and high-resolution real-time three-dimensional shape measuring for the dynamic and changing objects in many areas which includes industrial inspection, entertainment, security industry, medicine, industrial design and manufacturing, etc. In this paper, a method of phase measurement is employed to achieve a three-dimensional reconstruction with structure light. Structure light illumination can be explained as making use of a serious of fringes projection, when viewed at an angle, a digital camera can be used to reconstruct of three-dimensional model of the target based on its real shape. However, measurement devices available on the market are equipped with physical grating as its raster image projection device.Cost of development and using are very high, which limits its promotion and applications in many areas. Therefore, it is necessary for the researchers to exploit a cheaper, easy-using and higher-accuracy device for real-time three-dimensional shape measuring. It is based on digital fringe projection that can greatly improve the situation of phase measurement profilometry. In this paper, the key issues are phase unwrapping algorithm, phase error compensation, calibration of the measurement system parameters, fast lookup table algorithm and automatic identification and removal of unreliable points. Those algorithms mentioned above are core to make a higher resolution, wider measuring range system available. With those efforts, the benefits of the scope of application of the three-dimensional structure light measurement technology can be taken fully advantage of and this technology also be bound to expand widely.In this article, a dual-frequency phase shift algorithm, the phase shift unwrapping algorithms, fast lookup table algorithm and automatic identification and removal of unreliable points skill for achieving real-time measurements are employed, and the validated results and real-time three-dimensional shape measuring software are indicated as well, the results demonstrate that the method used in this paper to meet the accuracy requirements and the high-speed of measurement. Also, it is proved that this system consists of the following merits: simple structure, full-featured, performance reliable and practical.
