In the long process of human evolution, science and technology development changes with each passing day. The traditional technology development presents a trend of diversity, intelligence and humanization. Tactile sensing technology is one of the haptic technologies which are widely used. It refers to the use of certain sensitive element and mechanical structure measuring the tactile parameters between sensors and the object to be tested. Tactile sensing technology has some irreplaceable advantages which other sensor technology and sensor don’t have, and is widely used in the special fields such as medical and military. Magnetorheological elastomer is a new kind of intelligent composite materials, as a new member of the family of magnetorheological, using it as the core components of a tactile sensor and actuator device, is a common concerned focus of research scholars at home and abroad in recent years.Based on tactile feedback technology and MR technology as the background, we utilize MRE in the tactile sensor and actuator design applications, and mainly did the following work:(1) Selection of the materials to prepare MRE. Approximate calculation to get the relative permeability of MRE, then designed the different magnetic circuit. Finally different samples with different content of graphite samples and different preparation methods were prepared, and their microstructures were observed.(2) The performance of the MRE was studied, firstly set up a test platform for the mechanical properties, and deduced the calculation method of solving MRE mechanics performance parameters. Approximation to solve the approximate expressions of the MRE resistance and resistance characteristics of concrete was obtained by test platform.(3) A displacement sensing device based on MRE magnetic resistance characteristics was designed, first introduced its design principle, then solenoid axial magnetic field distribution were studied, finally did the detailed analysis of the sensing device.(4) Different tactile sensing actuators were designed according to different principle and analyzed the detailed principle of each design and compared the advantages and disadvantages, then analyzed the detailed design based on double solenoid, and got the last design.
