Along with the development of science and technology, intelligence and automation technology is more and more popular. All kinds of hi-tech are also widely used in intelligent vehicle field, making intelligent robot more and more diverse. Intelligent vehicle is a variety of high-paying technology integration body, incorporating mechanical, electronic, sensors, computer hardware, software, artificial intelligence and many other subject knowledge, can involves many of today’s current areas of technology.This paper designs a simple design of a tracking and obstacle avoidance intelligent vehicle which based on SCM control, It focuses on the design methods of the software and hardware and construction method in the intelligent vehicle. The vehicle uses STC89C52as the control core, using SCM control L298N motor drive module to control the vehicle moving.The vehicle uses ultrasonic sensor for obstacle detection for obstacle avoidance, and infrared sensor detects black trajectory on the road, then the detection signal is fed to the SCM for tracking. SCM analysises the signals to determine and timely control the drive motor to make the vehicle steer, make sure the vehicle can avoid obstacles and track the black line to move, to achieve tracking and Obstacle avoidance purposes.
