In the modern era, with the rapid development of computer networks, digital media information (digital images, digital video, audio and three-dimensional computer graphics) is growing very rapidly. However, it is easy to edit, modify, storing and disseminate digital media information; In the process of network transmission, digital media information may be subjected to various intentional or unintentional tampering attacks, making it impossible to verify the integrity and content of the authenticity of the digital media information.Digital watermarking technology is using the digital multimedia signal processing method to embed the hidden information into digital sound, image or video data, in order to determine the copyright owner, the authenticity and integrity of certified digital information of the digital media information.Digital watermarking algorithms based on wavelet transform and chaos principle are studied systematically in this paper. This paper introduces the background and the actuality of digital watermarking; and dissertate the basic concept and classic algorithms of digital watermarking. This paper also elaborated the digital watermarking about attack analysis and evaluation of performance.This paper presents a blind digital watermarking algorithm based on DWT and chaos principle. The algorithm uses digital wavelet transform to reduce computational time complexity; sorting the low frequency sub-band coefficients and embedding watermark information could achieve a blind watermarking detection and extraction and ensure the robustness of the algorithm; combined with the characteristics of multi-resolution analysis of DWT and the consistency of human visual system, it’s great help for the location and intensity of the watermark and the digital watermark robustness and imperceptibility has been greatly improved; using Arnold changes scrambling a digital watermark image improves the safety and robustness of the watermark.In this paper, the proposed algorithm has been simulated and the experimental results show that the algorithm has good robustness and imperceptibility.
