With the extensive application of information technology in colleges and universities, theteaching level and scale of them develop quickly, which put forward higher requirements tothe personnel management of the university. However, many colleges and universities arerelatively backward on the use of information technology,which affects the development ofschools themselves.For example, many colleges and universities are still using the stand-aloneversion of the personnel management system for personnel management, some even useExcel spreadsheet software,which is difficult to generate the statistical reports that are notonly easy to make mistake but low in efficiency.What’s more,the system, a stand-aloneversion, with a simple function,neither share information with other systems,nor let teacherslogin view or update personal information to the system,and nor manage the variety of theidentity of staffs in the school.Additionally, as the workload and range of the personnelmanagement is on the increase,the business processes become more complex thanever.Besides, due to the rapid development of information technology in the schools, it hasbeen found that many independent systems arised in them.However,it is very difficult forthese systems to communicate information with each other between different developmentlanguage and development standard.Comprehensively analysis, with the continuousdevelopment of colleges and universities, they themselves should develop a unified set of datastandards to improve the sharing of information resources based on pre-existing systemmessage to better deal with higher requirements. Therefore,it is an urgent need for theuniversity to develop an open,powerful personnel management information system.In this paper,by taking one university’s personnel management information system as anexample, I have carefully analyzed the problems encountered by the colleges and universitiesin the process of information construction.Combining with the fact of our university,I use thetechnology of SSH framework with the open source according to the B/S(browser/server)structure model to develop the system,in order to achieve unified management of the varietyof the identity of our school staffs.In this way,each teacher can login view or update personalinformation to the system, which ensures the accuracy of the information and improves themanagement level. The system use Web Service technology to provide authentication interface to other systems and to increase information exchange with other ones.The systemwhich is powerful, safe and easy to expand, not only improve the level of management of theschools, but also speed up the construction of information technology in them, and promotethe development of the schools themselves.Being tested, the system runs stably and basically meet the demand for personnelmanagement, which achieve the desired development objectives, improving the efficiency ofpersonnel management and procuring personnel management standardization, standardizingand scientific.
