With the development of mobile communication technology, the focus of the mobilecommunication has been gradually changed from the voice business to the data servicetransmission. And with the coming of the LTE, the rate of mobile communication will begreatly promoted, video, games, streaming media such as rate of packet switching businesswill become the main business of using mobile phones.Some statistics showed that70%of mobile communication network are working inindoor places, especially to the packet data service which need high rate and stability. Soafter the introduction of the TD-LTE network, indoor distribution system construction isthe most important thing to operators. In order to protect the operators’ investment,TD-LTE network indoor distribution construction should be reformed by existing indoordistribution system.Multi-antenna technology, which also named the MIMO technology, is one of themost important techniques of The TD-LTE system. But the existing indoor distributionsystems are single feeder systems, cannot achieve the TD-LTE MIMO features in thesystem, and it would decrease the capacity and the transmission rate of the TD-LTEsystem. If want to achieve the TD-LTE MIMO features of the system in the existingindoor distribution systems, the most conventional method is building a new feeder system,and transfer TD-LTE signal by double path coverage. There are several disadvantages inthis way,such as the cost of the transformation is expensive,the construction time is longand property coordination is difficult.This paper proposes a way to reform the existing indoor single feeder distributionsystem through the active antenna, and introduced the function and design method ofactive antenna. Single cable MIMO active antenna distribution system is a new indoordistribution system which achieve TD-LTE MIMO feature in single feeder indoordistribution systems by frequency conversion.The TD-LTE signal transmission is alsocompatible with other standard signals.The single feeder indoor distribution systems canachieve MIMO feature after the imported the TD-LTE network by install active antenna.In this way,the cost become less,the construction time become shorter,the transformation andthe property coordination become easier.
