Ethernet has been a rapid development in the commercial communicationwithin the field because of its emergence,and led to the global informationrevolution.However,for the twenty-first century, Ethernet is not only throughoutthe business, it has been gradually deep into the field of industrial automation.Major equipment of the Ethernet topology—switches, widely used in theindustrial areas. Commercial switches technology has gradually matured, but ithas much room for the development of industrial switches. I studied the highreal-time performance and reliability of industrial Ethernet,and design theindustrial Ethernet switch. In terms of real-time, IEEE1588standard was quitepopular in the past two years in terms of real-time. It added timestamp logicbetween the physical layer and the MAC layer, which reduced the uncertainty anddelay of protocol stack, to thereby obtain a higher clock accuracy. In terms ofhigh reliability of industrial Ehternet, the design focused on EMC andprotection.Last we developed the industrial Ethernet switch.In this paper, I developed and study the industrial switch which support theIEEE1588standard. First, I introduced IEEE1588standard, focusing on narrativeIEEE1588standard implementation process, and described in detail the designand implementation of industrial switches. The process consists of powersupply module, the exchange of the core module, peripheral storage modulehardware circuit design.l Then l design SI of the industrial switch,and study anddesign EMC and protection of it. I designed the PCB The choice of the switchchip based on cost-effective level. Software was directly transplanted to theswitch. In the final stages of the R&D, we test the switch and it successfullypassed the performance indicators and met the requirement of Industrial Ethernetstandard.
