Based on computer software, hardware and networking technology, Shanghai Electrical and Mechanical Institute’s production training system builds a series of flexible and practical information platform and environment for the students to conduct electromechanical equipments manufacturing operation and technical management work. Because it’s an informational simulated environment based on computer software and hardware, this system is not be affected by time and cost factors, can roundly support flexibility and integrity of the practiced operation, can repeatedly run according to specific student reality, and has certain individuation support capability.To adapt current automatic manufacturing system’s features, this practical training system focuses on its function targets, which are striving to completed contents in equipment operation, and striving to reflect real manufacturing flows in product system management. In order to achieve the above targets, first, the paper introduces the system’s developing goal and necessary developing foundation. It discusses the system’s demand analysis, especially discusses the following function modules:processing equipment and work-piece model management module, equipment operation simulation module, processing task management module, equipment breakdown simulation module and equipment processing operation evaluation management module. It discusses software design scenario, including system outlined design, database design and each module’s internal data structure and processing flow, etc. On the basis of design, it further discusses typical programming implementation and summarizes the whole article in the end. The system is developed in the mode of Client/Server architecture with Windows graphical environment at client side programmed in C++and SQL Server2008DBMS at server side programmed in T-SQL for storage routines, running in the environment of the institute’s local networks.The system test and application shows that the system reaches its main developing goal, and needs to be improved in many areas. The development goal of next phase is to realize operation practicing simulation function in manufacturing system based on network environment.
