In practice, many business systems are highly dynamic, configuring server resourceswith only during peak business requirements is not conducive to resource reuse and energysaving. Currently, the dynamic expansion of the server has more mature solution, but theefficient and convenient server cluster management solutions that support both dynamicexpansion and dynamic reduction are still relatively scarce, so the research of scalable servercluster deployment solutions and management methods which can maintain stable operationof business systems is important. This paper focuses on the scalability issues of the network server cluster in research, design and implementation. The main contribution of this paper is as follows:1) According to the characteristics of the business system, this paper puts forward adeployment solution of server cluster architecture which can handle a variety of businessrequirements. The architecture is a tree structure, including a number of the manage serversand node servers. Manage server is located in the root node or intermediate node of the treestructure, the node server is located in the leaf node.2) According to the characteristics of this server cluster architecture, this paper putsforward a management solution of the server cluster architecture system. The key algorithmsof the solution includes design of node identifier, split and merge of manage server, split andmerge of node server.3) Design and implement a scalable network server cluster architecture system, thesystem can split up more servers to enhance performance when the demand of services isincreasing, and can be combined into fewer servers to conserve resources when the demand ofservices is reducing, thereby improving server utilization, protection of business requirementsare effectively dealt with.
