In the3G operators all over world, over50%of mobile traffic transmission occurs andalmost80%of the high-speed data services take place indoors. It can be predicted that thedata traffic will also have the similar distribution characteristics in the room in LTE(LongTerm Evolution) network. So indoor coverage of LTE network is very important. LTE ismainly concerned with the above2GHz frequency band. And for the macro base station, thesignal is seriously attenuated after penetrating the building, so the high-frequency andhigh-order modulation is flawed in indoor. Home base station (Femtocell) occur to solve theproblems. It is deployed in an indoor environment, connected to the mobile communicationscore network through dedicated IP or Internet. It s compatible with LTE wireless spectrumand network architecture, and can effectively improve the quality of indoor wireless receiversignal.Femtocell is installated by the user in the room, and composed the LTE-Femtocellwireless communication systems with the macrocell. But without planning and coordination,there will be a lot serious interference in the coexistence system, which deteriorate theLTE-Femtocell overall performance. Therefore the interference problems of heterogeneousnetwork which include the home base station and macrocell base station need to be address.To research Femtocell interference management mechanism and choose using radio resourcecoordination and allocation mechanism for home base station makes important significance.Firstly, this paper describes the performance requirements and system architecture of LTE,sums up the functions of each network element in the core network and the access network. Italso inroduce the protocol stack of LTE from the user plane and control plane respectively,and several major key technologies of LTE, including the time frame structure, interferencemanagement techniques. Then, based on the research of the literature at home and abroad onLTE Femtocell interference management system, this papter classify different scenarios of theLTE-Femtocell interference, and explains the major interference control method. It focuses onthe downlink interference scenes between the macro base stations and Femtocells, home basestation and home base station. Finally, for the above two main interference scenariosrespectively, this paper puts forward the proposals of corresponding interference coordination.By simulating the relevant interference coordination algorithms in system level andcomparing with the existing technology, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposedscheme will be presented in this paper.
