Abstract:Power supplies are required to reduce power consumption. The flyback topology has long been attractive because of its relative simplicity as well as converter isolation; theoretically minimizing the magnetic component count when compared with other topologies used in low power applications. Clamping circuit is the key component in the flyback converter to achieve considerable safty and efficiency. Consequently, how to design an improved clamp circuit has been the research focus.Firstly, this paper discusses the control mode of the main circuit topology structure and key flyback switching power supply and design steps. And then, it introduces several classical flyback switching power supply clamp circuit, and analyzes their working principles, advantages and disadvantages of the simulation waveform. Then as the flyback switching power supply clamp circuit can not solve the problem of the high switch tube clamp voltage, and the hard switching work condition, and the transformer leakage inductance energy loss and other issues, this paper optimized the flyback switching power supply clamp circuit.In the circuit simulation software CANDENCE16.3, the flyback switching converter with optimized clamp circuit is set up and simulated. Through the analysis of the simulation waveform data of the key circuit, the circuit is reasonable. Compared with the existing flyback switching converter with clamp circuit, the voltage stress of switches is smaller, and the switch operates in the soft switching mode, the transformer leakage inductance energy is recycled. It improves the overall safety and efficiency of the circuit, which has practical value in high voltage input.
