Abstract:With the development of computer, communication and sensor technology, the application of wireless sensor network is more and more widely. It can be used in many areas such as military field, intelligence live, environmental science, industry agriculture and so on. Since the sensor nodes are deployed in hostile or filed environment, they are easy to be captured. Especially in military field, the security problem is particularly prominent. And the energy of the node itself, data processing and storage capacity limitations, traditional key management techniques are no longer suitable for WSN, so the design of an efficient key management technology is of great significance for WSN.The structure, characteristics and application of WSN are outlined in this paper, and the key technologies and the security problems are analyzed in detail. In addition, this paper illuminates the principles of several typical key management schemes of WSN and analysis and comparison of their merits and faults.According to the security and connectivity problems of symmetric key management scheme, a novel key management scheme based on cluster and hash key chains is proposed for wireless sensor network (CHKMS). The network is maked into several clusters so that it is easy to key management, and can reduce the node storage capacity and energy consumption to prolong the network lifetime. A hash function is used to generate a hash key chain to update the cluster head authentication key, and a registration model is proposed during the sensor nodes add to the network and periodically authentication and update mechanism for sensor nodes to strengthen the security. Analysis shows that the CHKMS scheme has advantages in storage consumption, computational complexity and security, and has good scalability.In the end, a new key management scheme is proposed based on CHKMS model and elliptical curve cryptography, in which signcryption method based on ECDLP difficulty problem is proposed to strengthen the security of the network between base station and cluster node or cluster nodes, and cluster node is responsible for establishing and updating the cluster key for the sensor nodes in the same cluster. Then we analysis show the proposed scheme has good connectivity, low storage consumption and better security compared with the existing key management schemes.
