Meantimethe online test via computer network helps the students to eliminate the barriers of timeand space to go for self-study or study by collaboration.Based on practical demand of middle school education, current situation of test andassignment management, and the request of education modernization, this article is toredesign test system, fractionize functional models of test system, complete the detaileddesign of new functions by using the network or multimedia technology, and to enhanceits functions in teaching activity and to serve the middle school education.To buildupthe functions of course study and assignment management of the test system, the newdesigned system takes B/S framework and ASP+ACCESS2010as softwaredevelopment foundation, uses the technology of verification code identification, systemgeneration, chart and file upload. The education functions of the test system areextended.The new functions include assignment management, online course study,exercise coaching and score enquiry by mobile phone, fully demonstrated the systemfeatures and highlights, which is helpful to teaching in middle school. The assignmentmanagement function includes teacher’s assignment and student’s upload. Online studyfunction offers many teaching resources to download and learn. Exercise coachingprovides both online answering and auto answering. Score enquiry by mobile phone isto receive the information by mobile phone terminal.The redesigned test system hasthree roles, the system administrator, teachers and students. The system administratorfunctions include user management model, course management model, PowerPointresource management model, information model.The teacher’s functions include onlineclass model, database management model, coaching model, assignment managementmodel. The student’s functions include online communication model, online study model, exam or assignment model etc.The test system developed the application functions of assignment analysis andguide and student’s learning and assignment management, achieved paperless teaching,provided a solution on shortage of teaching resources in middle school. Application testshows the system strengthens the communications and contacts between teachers andstudents, provides favorable education environment for teachers “teaching” and students“study”, and achieved good teaching result.
