Fiber-optic hydrophone based optoelectronics and fiber-optic technology is a new sensorwhich can detect ocean acoustic signal. Compared with traditional piezoelectric hydrophone,fiber-optic hydrophone has many advantages such as larger bandwidth, higher sensitivity,prodigious dynamic range and immunity to electromagnetic interference. Because offiber-optic hydrophone plays a major role in the modern navy anti-submarine warfare andlisteners, it has been attached great importance to national military. At present, theall-fiber-optic hydrophone and the array of multiplexing fiber-optic hydrophone are a nationalresearch hotspot.First of all, this paper introduces the structure and principle of the interferometricfiber-optic hydrophone, and carries out a detailed study of the depolarization fadingtechnology, analyzes the Faraday rotation mirror polarization-induced fading eliminationtechnique theoretically. Finally, it also introduces the common multiplexing technology offiber optic hydrophone array. This paper discusses the detection scheme of the3×3couplerand phase generated carrier(PGC), calculates the optimum C value to expansion of Besselfunction, and analyzes the dynamic range of fiber optic hydrophone system and themeasurement signal,when it is the multi-frequency signal. Lastly, uses the computersimulation software to verify the feasibility of the PGC demodulation.This topic designs the based on the FRM unit of interferometric fiber optic hydrophonesystem, which is on the basis of directly modulated light source and PGC demodulationtechnology. According to the actual situation, it also selects key components, and designs aseries of circuit, which includes signal mixer, phase shift, low-pass, and differential, integraland so on. At last, the study has debugged and tested on the whole system, and analyzed theactual problem which has found. The thesis also provides an important reference for the futurestudy of the fiber-optic hydrophone.
