With the development and maturity of the wireless communication technology, many wireless business were pushed and more scene need the higher precision positioning technology.Band of UWB(Ultra-wideband) communication resources are opened, then more and more people focus on the new technology,which will be the main current in the future.The paper introduced the characteristics of the UWB signal,the channel models,and the basic theory of wireless location on the base of UWB communication.And researched some common UWB location algorithms,then improved the traditional algorithm with the LS method based on comparing these methods.What’s more,the paper also analysed some factors of the precisions in order to reduce the effects of the error.Chan algorithm,which has the charactertics of small amount of computation and low complexity, is a non-recursive algorithm of UWB location methods with analytical expression.The algorithms could get the good location estimate in the line-of-light environment.But the drawback is that the performance is not stable,especially with the error increased in non-line-of-light evrironment.Taylor algorithm is a typical recursion iteration method,and coulg be applyed in different evrionment and sysytems.The method could provied an accurate solution in the appropriate level of noise through using all of the measured varibales.However,the algorithm requires a target loaction information,which is close to the real location,to make sure the convergence of the algorithm,and the initial selection needs the prior information of the values.The higher of the precision,the greater amount of the positioning accuracy.According to the shortcomings of these algorithms,the new algorithm was put forward to improved the location accuracy.The advantage of the improved Chan algorithm is that use the constraint relationship between the unknown values.The method is add a correction term between the measured and real results to estimate the location.The key step is to operate again according to the initial results.The improved method eliminated the values independence assumption to make sure the result is more close to the real position.The new algorithm has the lower implementation complexity,faster speed and could get the reliable resluts in line-of-sight environment.The paper proposed an improved hybrid location algorithm.which is combined the small amount of calculation and quick positioning results of Chan algorithm,and the adaptation of Taylor algorithm in the complex environment.The new method used the results of Chan algorithm to be the initial values of the Taylor algorithm to iterate.Then solved the result according to the minimum estimation residual between the real and the error values.The large deviation was insteaded by the revise value.Finally,the hybrid algorithm got the precision estimation location through iteration to close to the real position.
