The rapid development of network technology makes communication network become more complicated, the increasing demand for higher performance cause more concentration on communication quality of the network. Building a system for real-time monitor the reliability of intricate network and setting parameters to make an evaluation of the network quality is of great importance.The existing network evaluation systems often tend to be of large-scale, costly and strongly rely on hardware environment. Based on the present situation and requirement of the network evaluation system, this thesis designs and realizes a real-time evaluation system for a dedicated communication network. By capturing packets in real network, filtering the packets, storing and calculating data, the system is capable of making real-time monitoring and testing the quality of the dedicated network communication and giving the test results. The results of the evaluation can offer data supports and help people make optimization work for network.Firstly, the thesis introduces the current situation of the dedicated communication network’s platform, analyzes and summarizes the short coming of the existing evaluating systems. Then a brief introduction is given, which is about some technologies that have been used in the system such as J2EE framework, MVC Model, XML technology, DOM4j technology, multi-threading mechanism, large data processing and so on. Meanwhile, we do some research on the demands of the system, and on this base, we analyze and design the system framework from the whole system to a single part and realize the system and some key problems by the technologies that have been mentioned above. At last, a comprehensive test has been applied to check the functional completeness, accuracy, reliability and the rapidity of the system. Results show that the system has good performance towards interaction and is easy to use. The design target of evaluating and monitoring communication network is well achieved and will give a certain practical significance for the network layout and network deployment.
