PET/CT medical diagnostic imaging techniques, in recent years, is widely recognizedand rapid development. It makes positron emission tomography (Pisitron EmissionTomography, PET) technology and computer tomography (Computed Tomography, CT)work together perfectly. In the actual medical procedure, it is no longer able to meet thediagnostic needs to understand the precise anatomical localization of the lesion only by CT,the doctor also need the PET lesions on behalf of the functional information of molecular.PET/CT can detect early lesions and accurate diagnosis through the function of PETimaging and CT imaging. However, because the impact of the authenticity of the dataobtained by the CT hardware in the mechanical positioning are not allowed and otherreasons will further affect the use of projection data reconstructed image quality, andproduce artifacts. CT X-ray tube center, the center of rotation and the center of detector isdifficult to accurately on the same line, the resulting projection data reconstructed imagewill produce artifacts. This has become an important factor to effect CT image quality. This study systematically summed up the concept, development and application ofPET/CT and its clinical artifacts problem. And then discusses the principles and methodsof parallel beam of X-CT image reconstruction. Finally discusses the positioning of thecenter of detector generated ring artifacts of the causes and effects, and proposed a shiftcorrection method based on projection data for image reconstruction, and throughsimulation experiments that this method is effective.
