Positron emission tomography (PET) is one of the most advanced nucleus medicine diagnosis and research techniques which detect the metabolic changes, biochemical reactions and function of animal/human internal organs by noninvasive, quantitative and dynamic methods, and PET also plays an important role in the prevent and therapy of major disease. In this paper, to contributions on some key problems in PET image reconstruction, are as follow:In this thesis, we in-depth understanding and analysis of principles and the basis of the physical processes, studying principles of radioactive decay of nuclides、the method of produced tracer with cyclotron、aggregation mechanism of radioactive and so on, then we have a good basis on selection and definition of activity sources, scintillator material, modeling detector ring of simulation physical process with GATE.Actually, because of the reconstruction progress is complex and difficult to obtain valid data, we success built GATE simulation platform for nuclear medicine on the Linux operating system, establish the microPET detector model with that platform, complete simulation the image process.Based of Matlab software package, we use off-line approach to encoded the original events in accordance with the radial distance, then put them on sinogram. Finally, using FBP method we acquired a single point, multi-point image reconstruction in2D acquisition. In order to eliminate low detector sensitivity, clapboard of detector affect image quality, slow pace of reconstruction in2D acquisition, we successfully use SSRB method completing a single point, multi-point image reconstruction in3D acquisition, preparing for Window operating platform of PET image reconstruction workstation.
