In order to ease the problem on urban traffic "hard drive","taxi-load rate" effectively, ataxi reservation system is developed in this paper. The system uses object-oriented design toanalysis and design, uses UML for visual modeling, and uses Eclipse, Android SDK, Tomcatand MySQL for joint development. The system is divided into client and server in two parts.The client is responsible for communication between passengers and drivers. And the serveris mainly responsible for the vehicle, the passenger data management and scheduling.What are completed in this paper are taxi reservation system needs analysis, outlinedesign, detailed design of each functional module and key functional modules and testing.This paper also implements Google Maps Android upgraded map display, image tagging,vehicles blocking situation display and so on.In the paper, taxi reservation function is focused on. Compared with the current travelreservation systems on the market, this system increases and realizes:"automatic choice oftaxis or passengers" function; passengers (/drivers) search taxis (/passengers) and displaytaxis’(/passengers’) position function; also joins the "long-term fixed reservation "function tofacilitate the long-term needs of the passengers at a fixed time.In order to test the effect of each function in the taxi booking system, this paper, startingfrom the customer login and the driver login, conducts the white box testing and the black boxtesting in all aspects, and shows operating results in the form of screenshots. And the resultsare analyzed and explained. The operations show that the system has good ornamental,operability and usability.
