With the high-speed development of the mobile terminal equipment, theinformation society based on the intelligent mobile platform is gradually developing,and the prospect will be a future of mobile information and service. Under thebackground of the global mobile, many traditional science and technology begin totransform to mobile equipments. Spectral imager is an important instrument of spaceimaging and target detection. Portable spectral imager based on mobile platform is animportant development direction of the spectrometer. Compared with the traditionalspectrometer, portable spectrometer has advantages of intelligent, portability, smallsize, high integration and responsiveness, etc. At the scene reconnaissance,environmental monitoring, and other special areas, the portable spectral imager has abroad application prospect.Portable spectroscopy imaging system is made up of the image acquisitionsystem and the spectral image processing system. This paper is mainly presented theresearch and the design of the spectral image processing software based on theAndroid mobile platform. The main research work and innovation points are:1. Started with the spectral imaging technique, and introduced the developmentsituation of the spectral imager. Combining the development trend and direction of themobile terminals, the new development ideas and direction of the spectral imager arepointed out, and the necessity and importance of the software is proposed.2. A study on the basic principle of Hadamard transform spectral imaging, and adetailed discussion of the construction method of the Hadamard coding mask and thestructure and imaging theory of the spectral imager are presented. These providesource data support for the software.3. Study and detailed analysis on the Android system architecture and theAndroid application framework are presented. The image processing methods on themobile platform are described, and the feasibility of spectral image processing onmobile platform is analysed. These provide the platform foundation and the framework foundation for the software.4. This spectral image processing software based on images of Hadamardencoding, by using the Java language, is designed and run on the Android platform.The functions of the image read, spectral image recovery, spectral curve extractionand pseudo color image synthesis are realized in each module. The software hascharacteristics of concise and clear and quick data processing response. Tests on a realAndroid mobile phone validate the realization of software functions.5. Tests on mobile phones show that the designed software has the ability ofspectral image processing with excellent performance nearly the same as Matlab.Finally, this paper puts forward the defects and the insufficiency of this softwaredesign, and points out some suggestions of future work improvement. At the sametime, the paper explores the prospective future of the portable spectral imager.
