The traditional production-oriented manufacturing upgrade to service-orientedmanufacturing has become the development trend of manufacturing enterprises,especially the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises which scarcity ofresources. Cloud manufacturing service platform(CMSP) quickly share and integratethe social manufacturing resource by using advanced manufacturing mode and relatedtechnologies, it has become an effective way to enhance the competitiveness ofmanufacturing enterprises in our country. As a key technology to solve resourceaggregation and application integration in the distributed environment, servicecomposition has become the focus of service running mode research on cloudmanufacturing service platform. For workflow-based service compositionprocess in cloud manufacturing,this paper studied the performance optimization approaches ofservice composition from the modeling layer and running layer. These approachescontinue to improve the overall performance of the service workflow, and effectivelysupport the service mode of CMSP for manufacturing enterprises. Our main worksare listed as follows:(1) In cloud manufacturing, we analyzed the features of cloud manufacturingservices and the problems in service composition, established formal theoretical basisof the service workflow, built service composition framework based workflow, andprovided a viable prototype architecture and implementation method for CMSPresearch and development.(2) For the dynamic model of business organizing in the cloud manufacturing, westudied performance optimization method of services composition based on modeldivision, to improve the overall efficiency of on-demand cloud manufacturingservices. By analyzing various dependencies in service workflow model and theimpact of model changes, we can identify the locality characteristics of the model andgive the division method of stable model fragment. Then we proposed theidentification method of minimum area caused by model changes. At last, analyzed and verified this method by an example.(3) Researched on performance optimization method of services composition basedon resource constraint, to improve the validity of service composition in theworkflow runtime. For the constraints in process of integration and use of cloudmanufacturing resource, we analyzed the impact of constraints to service workflowrunning in the cloud manufacturing, and gave out the features of the resourceconstraints and the judgment basis of validity for services composition in theworkflow runtime. Based on dependency of resource constraints, the validityidentification method of services workflow was also presented. Finally, verified thevalidity of this method through a practical case to.This article proposed the main problems, solutions and algorithms of servicescomposition performance optimization from different levels. It is the foundation andkey to build an efficient CMSP, has played an important role in the development,implementation and application of cloud manufacturing services platform.
