Human body sensor network with the wireless transmission way, convenientfor data acquisition, node advantages of small volume, low cost, easy to carryand other advantages, has a broad application prospect in medical care,biomedical, sports training, action recognition, and other fields. In recent years,with the development of chip technology, wireless communication technology,especially the sensor chip and its miniaturization, promote the applications ofhuman body sensor network gradually into people’s daily life, such as health care,intelligent family, and human-computer interaction, etc.However, in some applications, such as human health monitoring andbehavior recognition, etc, the requirement for data instantaneity and dataacquisition frequency is relatively high. In the human body electrocardiogram(ECG) monitoring curve requires high real-time performance, and data delay mayresult in ECG curve deformation, thus will affect the diagnosis result. Whendoing behavior recognition, high sampling frequency can describe every detail ofaction more delicately to provide more precise data for the behavioridentification in application layer.In order to provide reliable support for upper applications, this paperdesigns and produces a complete set of software and hardware system especiallyfor body sensor network (BSN). Compared with its former used protocols in BSN,this one is more targeted. This paper firstly constructs a set of hardware platformfor BSN, which consists of sensor node and central node, and integrates the6-axis sensor unit in the node. Secondly, it prepares a set of real-time wirelesscommunication protocol MAC in this platform; finally, it tests the whole system,and respectively evaluates two aspects: system delay and energy consumption.The final results of the experiment show that the hardware design hasreached the expected requirements, and meet the need of BSN for dataacquisition and transmission. The prepared MAC protocol can work normally,whose delay can be controlled within the range of400us, and its energyoptimization is comparable obvious. The whole constructed system runs stably,and performs an ideal effect in the practical test.
