This paper analyzed the present status of elevator system, and provided a brief introduction to the development of permanent magnet synchronous motor. According to the mathematic model of permanent magnet synchronous motor, vector control strategy was studied in this paper Then the fuzzy PI controller is designed with by the Matlab Simulink toolbox, through the simulation analysis to the permanent magnet synchronous motor vector control system based on the fuzzy PI control, the result indicates that the system has a better dynamic performance and robustness. And this paper presents the implementation of adaptive fuzzy neural network controller for accurate speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. Fuzzy neural network controller combines the capability of fuzzy reasoning in handling uncertain information and the capability of neural network in learning from processes. The simulation result proved the good performance of the introduced method.
