With the popularity of smart phones, mobile games have begun to affect people’sdaily lives. At the same time, level games tend to more and more popular. However, thelevel games haven’t a standardized development process. So the study of level games’development is very meaningful.The choice of operating systems and game development framework depends on thecomparison of different smart phone operating systems and the performance of differentgame development frameworks. Android and Libgdx were chosen to develop a mobilegame. Through the game the general development skills of level games were expounded.A Restaurant game was designed. It consists of two parts which were core logic and levelgenerator. Core logic is composed by Model module, logic control module, animationmodule and configuration module. Level generator is composed by assets manager,display module and level control module. The concept of level game was consisted of corelogic and level generator was presented. The core logic abstract common properties andlogic of each level. Then it extracts level data to present the game to user. Also it respondsto user actions and maintains the running state. The level generator contains map editorand data generating. During the data generating, visualized data editing was presented.The restaurant game was developed based on libgdx-0.9.8and Android SDK version4.0.2. During the testing on simulator and real smart-phone, restaurant game behaves well.This shows that the concept of core logic and level generator to develop a level game wasuseful.
