Time is an indispensable part of national economy and people’s livelihood, time andfrequency transfer technology affects the precision of users’ time. Paper focuses on theconstruction status of Beidou navigation system (BDS) and the research status of domestic timetransfer technology, studies the high accuracy common-view time transfer based on GEO andIGSO satellites of BDS, with the aid of existing research foundation and the system platform ofNational Time Service Center. According to the GPS common view (referred to as GPS CV)algorithm, direct common-view method and standard common-view method based on Beidousatellites is proposed and deeply studied. Using the self-developed Beidou common-viewsoftware and the measured data, the algorithm is validated. Compared with the C-band two-waysatellites time transfer result, it is showed that Beidou GEO and IGSO satellites common-viewhas reliable performance. The work of this paper can lay the foundation for the more precisiontime transfer technology research that based on Beidou satellites. The main content of the paperis as follows:(1) The present situation of the global satellite navigation system is introduced, the principleand characteristics of all kinds of high precision time transfer method are analyzed, emphasis oncommon-view time transfer.(2) The characteristics of BDS is introduced in detail, combination with the constructionstatus of BDS, the common-view time transfer technology based on Beidou satellites is analyzeddeeply. On the basis of realization of Beidou direct common-view, Beidou standardscommon-view algorithm is proposed and implemented reference to GPS standardscommon-view format. The data processing method of Beidou common-view, and the kinds ofthe delay correction strategy in the time transfer are analyzed in the paper.(3) The Beidou common-view software is developed based on the Visual Basic6.0platform.The direct common-view and standards common-view based on GEO satellites, IGSO satellites,as well as GEO and IGSO satellites combination (GEO&IGSO) of BDS are implemented. Thevarious performance indicators show the day frequency stability and average frequency accuracyof one day can reach E-14.(4) At the end of paper, compared with the C-band two-way satellites time transfer result, itis showed that Beidou common-view has reliable performance.
